Health Statistics Department
This is divided into 3 subdivisions namely;
a) General and specialized governmental hospital Division:
Staff of this division collects inpatients' data from
the 6 governmental hospitals and the 9 specialized hospitals
through different forms namely;
HS1 = Daily ward Census Form.
HS2 = Daily Hospital Inpatient Census Form.
HS3 = Summary of Daily Hospital Inpatient Census Form.
HS4 = Monthly Hospital Inpatient Census Form.
HS5 = Summary of Monthly Hospital Inpatient Census Form.
HS11 = Inpatient Discharge Summary.
•
These forms are checked (special attention is given to ICD10
and ICPM coding for surgical procedures)
•
then entered into the database with the contribution from
the Information Department for data entry of HS11 forms.
•
Data of outpatients of governmental hospitals are
sent directly from these hospitals in special forms.
•
Other tables related to health services, manpower and
morbidity are extracted and presented in quarterly and
annual reports.
b) PHC Division:
• Monthly
reports are received from the 5 health regions
presenting number of attendees according to nationality and
the PHC.
These are utilized for the quarterly reports.
• The
Directorate of PHC sends an annual report, data of which are
utilized for the annual report of the Department.

facilities' Division:
Monthly reports
are received from other health facilities;

Genetics Centre,

Dental services,

Overseas
Treatment Directorate,

General Medical
Council,

Preventive Health
Directorate,
•
Drug Cost
Directorate, and
•
Communicable
Diseases Hospital.
presenting number
of utilizers according to nationality, gender and age,…etc.
These are utilized for the annual report.
