Vital Statistics Department:
Births and deaths data are collected using 3 forms, since
1987.
This department is divided into two subdivisions namely;
a) Live Birth Statistical Division
b) Still Birth and Mortality Division
•
In both divisions, the staff collect the corresponding
notification forms (yellow copy) from governmental,
oil companies and private hospitals as well as from
outside Kuwait (for Kuwaitis only).
•
Each notification is given special serial number
•
then checked, coded (special attention is given to ICD10
coding),
•
then fed into the database.
•
then data are presented in the form of tables and graphs in
the quarterly and annual reports.
